Description: If your farm business has fewer than 10 employees and needs financial support to jumpstart a project, a Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Loan offered by USDA Rural Development may get you the funding you need. These loans with fixed interest rates can fund up to 75% of total project costs and are administered through accredited institutions called microenterprise development organizations (MDOs). Funds can be used for working capital needs, debt refinancing, purchasing equipment and supplies, and improving real estate.
