Forest health & restoration

The Healthy Forests Reserve Program Landowners with forests on their property can leverage the Healthy Forests Reserve Program (HFRP) to support the protection and restoration of forest habitats and endangered species. Growers can participate in restoration or easement agreements with the NRCS and may be eligible for additional cost-share funding to support conservation practices on HFRP land.

Emergency Forest Restoration Program Are you a private landowner with a forest that was damaged by a fire, drought, or other natural disaster? If so, the EFRP may be for you. This program provides funding to forest owners to restore natural habitats and woodlands degraded by weather, climatic, or natural disasters, and is administered by the Farm Service Agency.
